Ecoflex™ Supersoft Rubbers are platinum-catalyzed silicones that are 'sister' silicones to Dragon Skin being versatile and easy to use. Cured material is certified by an independent laboratory to ISO 10993-10, Biological evaluation of medical devices, Part 10: Tests for irritation and skin sensitization. Ecoflex™ Rubbers are mixed 1A:1B by weight or volume and cure at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. Rubber also cures without a "tacky" surface. Low viscosity ensures easy mixing and de-airing.
Cured rubber is very soft, very strong and very "stretchy", stretching many times its original size without tearing and will rebound to its original form without distortion. Ecoflex™ Rubbers are water white translucent and can be color pigmented with Silc-Pig™ or Psycho Paint® pigments for creating a variety of color effects.
Ecoflex™ Supersoft silicones are used to create incredible skin effects, monster masks and special effects appliances. They are also used extensively for medical cushioning applications, including orthotic and orthopedic appliances.
